As a Payroll Administrator, you will be a part of the Contractor Payroll Accounting Team at Design Group Staffing Inc. (DGSI) based in Edmonton. 
This is a high volume, fast-paced opportunity that requires attention to detail to process full cycle payroll.
You are:    

  • Proficient in data entry - you maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality    
  • Software savvy - you have intermediate to senior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite    
  • Familiar with federal and provincial payroll guidelines - you have at least 2-4 years of payroll experience    
  • Certified as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) …or working towards a PCP designation    
  • An accomplished communicator - you are professional in your verbal and written communications    
  • Exceptionally organized with attention to detail even during changing priorities – you can adhere deadlines    
  • Enthusiastic about working with a team - you can collaborate with others or work independently when required    
  • Energetic and urgent – you value a strong work ethic
You will:    
  • Prepare, enter and verify data for complex multi-cycle payroll; including contractors who are employees, self-employed and LTDs    
  • Process contractor/temp information changes    
  • Respond to queries regarding payroll from internal and external sources    
  • Access external systems for uploading hours to DGSI’s payroll system    
  • Investigate and resolve payroll issues    
  • Ensure the contractor/temp payroll is accurately completed on time    
  • Process contractor/temp stops and Record of Employments    
  • Support Account Receivable colleagues for client invoice set up    
  • Champion identifying and achieving best practices in quality, efficiency and superior customer service
